about
Hi, I’m Bruna Debski.
I am a young, creative entertainment professional, passionate about highlighting women's stories and committed to promoting diversity through thoughtful media.
Growing up in Brazil, I always noticed how tv shows and movies constantly portrayed underrepresented populations (i.e. females, immigrants) as vulnerable, weak, and submissive. I chose to pursue a degree in Television Production to best understand how to make a difference in the media industry.
I graduated with two bachelor’s degrees from California State University Northridge: Television Production and Gender & Women’s Studies, and am currently pursuing an MBA.
Shortly after graduating, I landed a job at Hello Sunshine, Reese Witherspoon's media company. I contributed to the development process of building Hello Sunshine’s and Eve Rodsky’s Fair Play franchise, including supporting Eve and Hello Sunshine’s SVP of Fair Play. I also coordinated events across the country and worked on brand partnership projects with companies like P&G, UN Foundation, and General Mills.
I became responsible for managing the brand's weekly newsletter and successfully created social content to connect consumers with the brand. In addition to my technical skills, I consider myself to be a team player with strong interpersonal and communication abilities, and feel beyond comfortable collaborating with my peers and achieving shared goals.
Outside of my professional accomplishments, I like to:
Read books
Watch TV shows (and look for continuity errors!)
Go to the dog park
Cook
The three words my friends use to describe me:
Determined
Creative
